#9 - Lysol S.S.

Lysol S.S. were a hardcore/noise band from Houston, Texas, USA who released just this one 7" in 2010.

This 7" includes 11 tracks in 9 minutes. All the tracks are 'Untitled'. It's ultra-low-fi, the vocals sound like they're recorded on a headset linked to the computer, in a front room, everything else just sounds like it's being recorded in the same room from a tape recorder placed in the corridor outside the door. Or simply that it was recorded from the corner of the practise space on a phone.

This 7" was half-released by Death Exclamations! (Records), who have notably have a release by Rattus and half-released by Cutthroat Records, who have releases by Pretty Little Flower (P.L.F.), Saccage and others.

The thing about Lysol S.S. and their ultra-low-fi quality, is that it has to be an utterly deliberate choice, due to members having played in some other bands with stellar releases. Beau plays in Insect Warfare, Knuckle Scraper (who have a release out through 625 Thrashcore) and a handful of others and Josh is the guy behind the solo-project Bloody Hammer (not the punk band from Australia) and other sing-along kind of fun bands!
